Lysa Gaboudian is a supervising engineer with 19 years of experience at the LA County Sanitation Districts. During her agency career, she spent 7 years in wastewater planning and 10 years in reuse and compliance, where she worked on regulatory permitting and related compliance issues. Since 2024, her work has focused on sewer system operations, hydraulic and condition assessment and identification and prioritization of rehabilitation projects. She regularly collaborates with engineering, maintenance, laboratory, and municipal partners to address operating challenges and improve system reliability. Her work combines field observations, CCTV inspections, flow monitoring, hydraulic modeling and risk-based analysis to support practicaldata-driven solutions. Lysa earned her BS degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and her MS degree in that field from UCLA, specializing in hydrology and water resources.
