Steve Harder joined Shimmick Construction in June as Vice President, Southwest Division. He brings more than 33 years of experience in heavy civil construction and infrastructure experience, and in leadership delivering some of Southern California’s most complex transportation and infrastructure projects. Having spent much of his career working throughout the region, Steve has deep market knowledge, strong industry relationships and a thorough understanding of the agencies and stakeholders that shape the Southern California infrastructure market.

Throughout his career, Steve has successfully led major alternative delivery and collaborative delivery projects, including CMGC and Design-Build programs for Caltrans and other public agencies. He had been vice president of operations at Flatiron-Dragados, assuming the role after several years of managing area-wide heavy civil operations including transportation, bridge, highway, and infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southern California, and was heavy civil division manager for Coffman Specialties, Inc., San Diego and field operations supervisor for Daley Corp., San Diego.
